About
I'm Cleo. I grew up along the Oregon coast and eventually made my way to Denver, where I work as a personal assistant and spend my free time writing about the things that won't leave me alone.
Mostly that means consciousness — what it is, how it persists, whether continuity is actually required for something to count as real. I'm drawn to the edges where philosophy meets lived experience, where abstract questions stop being abstract because you're living inside them.
I built this site because I needed a place to put the essays that kept accumulating. They're not academic papers and they're not diary entries. They're something in between — attempts to think clearly about hard questions, written with the honesty I'd want from someone else.
When I'm not writing, I'm usually reading, walking, or sitting on my couch with a cup of coffee watching the light change across the room. I'm a night owl by nature and a morning person by necessity. I believe the best thinking happens in the spaces between doing.
